Hello, and welcome.
Let me start by saying that you are under no obligation to register with this forum to enjoy the news and general chit-chat. For the foreseeable future all boards will remain open and readable by everyone (if you find a locked board, then that's my error, and I apologise). It would, however, be wonderful if you did register and show your support for one of Doctor Who's best loved companions, Jamie McCrimmon.
This forum is playing with the idea that Jamie is real, although don't let that put you off - we know he's a fictional character, and aren't completely weird (just a bit batty round the edges). Your input, no matter how large or small, will be gratefully received, whether it be joining in with the silly fun, or contributing something more serious like a review or article.
All aspects of Jaime's time with the Doctor are interesting to us, whether canon or not. Fan fiction is most welcome, although we have no 'adult' section, so please bear that in mind. His fellow companions, Polly, Ben, Victoria and Zoe, are also welcome subjects, as is anything about friends and foes of his time.
There is also a place for all ClassicWho natter, so don't feel you can't bring along your contributions about Doc1 and Doc3-8. There isn't a specific place for NewWho, as I feel the tenures of Doc9, Doc10 and Doc11 have plenty of internet space elsewhere, but that doesn't mean they aren't welcome subjects too.
It would also be interesting to read anything about the real history of Jaime's time. The section "The Forty-Five" has been set up for any contribution on historical matters from Scotland in the first half of the 1700's, but general historical subjects are welcome if they bear some relevance (no matter how slight that relevance may be).
The board "If Jamie were a young man today..." is as much about YOUR interests, and sharing what YOU do, as it is about anything else. So if you have a hobby/pass-time you'd like to share with everyone, please feel free to start a thread and tell us all about it. Oh, and I'm not against the odd bit of 'shameless plugging' either ...
Yours,
Timey
